GEOL 100 - Earth in Action
This course initiates students to the Earth Science. It gives to student a good background in Geology as well as a general picture of what earth sciences are.
GEOL 530 - Structural Geology
This course gives to students the first fundamentals of structural geology through lectures and laboratories. A 2-3 days field work will be done to practice the different concepts approached in class and allow students to make their own structural interpretation.

GEOL 560 - Field Methods
In this class students will have the opportunity to learn different basic field methods and use their knowledge on specific problems.
The primary goal of the course is to provide students the basic tools and skills for further field investigations.tation.
GEOL 805 - Advanced Petrology
This advanced petrology course will pick up where your introductory petrology course left off. It will be assumed that you already have a reasonable grasp of introductory petrology and can recognize, describe, and classify most common igneous and metamorphic rocks, both in hand specimen and thin section. We will examine a variety of petrologic, petrographic and geochemical tools that help us gain insights into the petrogenesis of igneous and metamorphic rocks. The course will explore aspects of thermodynamics, phase equilibria and application of modern petrographic techniques, as well as various geochemical modeling techniques that can be used to place quantitative constraints on petrologic processes.
